Costa Verde

Costa Verde, or Marina di Arbus is named so for its rich vegetation of mastic, broom, strawberry plants and juniper. It stretches on the west coast of Sardinia for about 47 kilometres, with beautiful beaches, rocky coves and sand deserts, alternating with the fragrant Mediterranean vegetation.
Costa Verde represents a unique heritage of Sardinia, and it has in fact been awarded several times with the five sails of Lega Ambiente.
On the back of our horses, accompanied by expert guides, you will be enchanted by the unspoiled nature, the mountains and the shrubs, elegantly modelled by the most skilled of sculptors: the wind. This magical land, original and suspended in time, will captivate you with its dunes, sand deserts that descend to the sea, endless and quiet beaches.

Breakfast at the Hotel Horse Country Resort and departure with horses for the Casta Casti Agriturismo, passing through the ancient fisherman’s village of Marceddi through sandy roads and wetlands. Lunch at Marceddi. We leave horses at the Agriturismo Casa Casti and return to the Horse Country by minibus. Duration approximately 5 hours. Distance around 25kms

Breakfast at the Hotel Horse Country Resort and departure with minibus for the Casta Casti Agriturismo. We prepare horses proceed on horseback in the countryside of Guspini, “Gentilis”. The territory is mainly characterized by forests of oaks and cork oaks and Mediterranean woodlands. It crosses a territory mainly of mountain up to reach the summit of “Punta Fonnesu” from which it will be possible to admire the coast from the so called “sheep cape” and the Gulf of Oristano and the mountain range of Mount Arcuentu. Lunch is packed with an outdoor picnic surrounded by nature with our horses. Continue towards the Casa Casti farmhouse. We leave the horses at the farmhouse and departure by minibus to Horse Country. Breakfast at the Hotel Horse Country Resort and departure with minibus for the Casta Casti Agriturismo. We prepare horses and will venture into the mountain paths through the territory of Arburese to reach the coastal area. Lunch is packed with an outdoor picnic surrounded by nature with our horses. We will arrive at the spectacular cove of Rio Murtas and then continue on the fascinating dunes of Torre dei Corsari and Pistis. Return to Agriturismo Casa Casti. We leave the horses at the farmhouse and departure by minibus to Horse Country. Duration approximately 5 hours. Distance around 25kms

Breakfast at the Hotel Horse Country Resort and departure with minibus for the Casta Casti Agriturismo. Return on horseback through the same sandy roads and wetlands of the fisrt day, back to the Horse Country Resort. Lunch at Marceddi. After lunch, return on horseback to the Horse Country.
